Wine

North Canterbury is just 40 minutes north of Christchurch and is fast establishing itself as one of the premium wine producing regions of New Zealand, particularly in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling.  According to Bob Campbell, the region is ”one of the unsung heroes of the wine industry”.

The region has 2 main sub-regions, Waipara Valley & Waikari.
There are also a few vineyards 20 minutes north of the Waipara Valley close to Cheviot.

Talks

CONVERSATIONZ

Lincoln University is bringing the ConversatioNZ tent back to the 2017 festival which will host discussions by duos made up of some of the best wine producers of the region, matched with chefs and food producers.

ConversatioNZ is a movement initiated by chefs and people in the food industry with the aim of highlighting the quality and vast array of edible resources available in New Zealand.

All are welcome to attend the 20 – 30 minute talks during the festival on a first in basis.  If you get a seat – you may get a sample. If you don’t – hang outside to listen to these dynamic duos talk about our food and wine landscape.

Tunes

Pockets of music will be scattered around the picturesque setting of Glenmark Domain...
